We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where teens can explore their emotions, express their thoughts, and gain valuable insights into themselves and the world around them.

My Approach to Therapy

My therapeutic approach is a mix of several therapeutic practices. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational interviewing, and parts work based on Internal Family Systems. I am also trained in Polyvagal Theory.

By combining these approaches, I can tailor my interventions to each client’s specific needs. For example, CBT may be useful for addressing specific behavioral changes and thought patterns, while IFS can help individuals explore deeper emotional issues and conflicts within themselves. Meanwhile, Motivational Interviewing can be applied to enhance the client’s readiness for change and commitment to the therapeutic process.

Therapy is a personalized process, and combining these approaches would depend on the individual’s unique situation, goals, and preferences. I will adapt my therapeutic approach based on the client’s needs, ensuring the most effective and beneficial treatment.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT

CBT is a popular therapy that targets the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Its aim is to alter negative thought patterns and behaviors causing emotional distress. By changing unhelpful beliefs, individuals can enhance coping and emotional well-being.

Parts Work/Internal Family Systems

PW

Internal Family Systems sees the mind as parts of your personality, each with distinct beliefs and emotions. It guides clients to comprehend and embrace these parts, fostering self-compassion and healing conflicts.

MI

Motivational Interviewing

MI

Motivational Interviewing spurs change motivation through collaborative discussions that uncover intrinsic reasons for healthier behavior. It's effective for clients grappling with change resistance or ambivalence.

Good Faith Estimate

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate”  explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
